Finance Committee approves FY27 budget warrant totaling over $10.8 million

Hinsdale Finance Committee unanimously approves FY27 budget warrant totaling over $10.8 million. The committee, in joint session with the Select Board, voted to accept general government expenses of $3,070,533, water operations of $186,374, and sewer costs of $317,999, while voting down the CBRSD Assessment Budget of $3,277,495 and CBRSD Capital Budget of $305,815 without explanation in the minutes. Town Administrator Bob Graves presented the draft warrant.

The committee approved $220,000 from multiple accounts for a shared general service truck, $63,000 for emergency water system repairs, and numerous Free Cash allocations for equipment, infrastructure, and police technology, and authorized the Select Board to petition the General Court to reduce Planning Board membership from five to three members.
