Hinsdale Finance Committee approves transfers and defers nearly $86,000 in budget items. Chairperson Shaun Galliher and Town Administrator Bob Graves discussed fiscal year-end account balances during the July 2 meeting, with the committee unanimously approving transfers totaling about $50,400 from insurance and police accounts to cover overages and operational expenses. The committee also unanimously carried forward six items totaling $85,565.35, including $27,500 for a Plunkett Lake spillway grant match and $25,000 for a Police Department evaluation and audit.

Graves reported he is awaiting contact from consultant Dave Prickett to schedule a water and sewer rate discussion with commissioners and suggested the committee review Transfer Station permit policies as contractor dumping has increased costs at the facility.
