HINSDALE — Lake Management Committee discusses invasive species and treatment planning. The Hinsdale Lake Management Committee met June 17 to review herbicide treatment coordination for Solitude Lake and zebra mussel risks spreading through the Berkshires, noting that Plunkett Lake's risk has decreased due to lower calcium levels. The Conservation Commission has authorized lily pad cutting above roots, with additional growth to be managed through a Notice of Intent process.
Committee members reviewed new boating regulations under the Hanson-Malone Act and confirmed that Camp Emerson and Romaca are coordinating a shared ski boat schedule to expand lake access opportunities. Two procedural votes passed unanimously.
