HINSDALE — Lake Management Committee reaffirms leadership and discusses lake treatment. Monica Montferret remains chair and Duane Bruce continues as secretary, both unanimously reaffirmed. The committee discussed a potential second herbicide treatment for Ashmere Lake following Solitude's July 31 application of 44 acres.
Members agreed to notify camps of planned treatments by May 1 in future years. At Plunkett Reservoir, concerns emerged over unmaintained toe drains at the dam and the absence of formal lake-level monitoring; Heather Lee will contact the Plunkett Lake Association to determine whether the association wishes to engage the town on dam maintenance issues.
