Library board approves director's request for new heater.

Hinsdale Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved Interim Director Sarah Welch's request for a new heater and charted a longer-term strategic planning path. Trustee David Mickenberg called for a defined mission and community engagement strategy, noting the need to increase foot traffic while preserving the library's hometown character. Trustee Katie Bolger volunteered for the new strategic planning committee.
The board discussed potential programs including a book and bake sale, author visits, summer theater, and partnerships with bookstores and regional libraries, while Trustee Marge Filkins agreed to obtain state forms for a proposed raffle fundraiser.
