HINSDALE — Select Board unanimously appoints DPW crew member. Alex Puntin, age 24 with construction and equipment experience, was approved to the Department of Public Works Crew Member position after presenting his background and commitment to obtaining required licenses. The Board also unanimously approved prior meeting minutes and tabled Margaret Gregory's appointment as Berkshire Regional Planning Commission alternate.
DPW Superintendent James Callahan reported Western Earthworks will begin a culvert project on George Schnopp Road, while Finance Chair Shaun Galliher flagged that reserve draws to cover the Dalton water bill are unsustainable, requiring the Water and Sewer Commission to address rates soon.
