Hinsdale Select Board approves inter-municipal agreement for interim police services. Chair Margaret Gregory and members Bart Collins and Ray Huntoon voted unanimously to enter executive session and reviewed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Peru, effective January 8, 2026, under which Peru Police Chief Bruce W. Cullett will serve as Police Chief for both towns through July 8, 2026 while Hinsdale's Chief Shawn Boyne remains on administrative leave.

Hinsdale will pay Peru $6,667 per month and cover 50 percent of police cruiser maintenance and repair costs. Officer David Tarjick will receive temporary sergeant pay and five hours of overtime compensation during daytime shifts as police department coverage is maintained with two officers covering first and second shifts and State Police handling overnight hours.
