Hinsdale Select Board opts out of early voting by mail for May election. The board unanimously declined to participate in early mail voting for the May 23 annual town election, with Town Clerk Dawn Frissell noting that absentee ballots remain available for voters. In separate unanimous votes, the board appointed Michael Perkins and Jason Breault as part-time police officers; Perkins is a Massachusetts State Police EDP Systems Analyst III and former Cummington Police Chief, while Breault is a former Berkshire County Sheriff's Office Captain and FAA-certified unmanned aircraft pilot.
Town Administrator Bob Graves received authorization to sign the FFD Enterprises HCA renewal and is pursuing regional grants for unpaved roads and dam mapping ahead of a March 7 budget meeting.
