HINSDALE -- Hinsdale Soccer has launched the "Centennial Field Campaign," a fundraising push described on the organization's website as "a privately funded initiative to build a new, modern synthetic turf soccer field, designed to replace current field conditions that have become subpar and inconsistent."
YOUTH LEAGUES -- According to Hinsdale Soccer, the new facility is meant to "provide a consistently safe, reliable, and high-quality playing surface for student athletes and the broader community." The organization says switching from natural grass to turf will "significantly increase field accessibility, reduce weather-related cancellations, and create consistent playing conditions throughout the year." Hinsdale Soccer is soliciting tax-deductible donations toward the project, calling it "a community-driven initiative built on the belief that our students deserve a premier facility that matches their hard work and dedication."
No Hinsdale High School contests were listed on ArbiterLive for the period, and no other youth league, town recreation, or community sports updates were available from local sources this week.
