YOUTH LEAGUES -- Hinsdale Soccer has launched the "Centennial Field Campaign," a privately funded initiative to build a new, modern synthetic turf soccer field. The organization says the project is meant to replace current field conditions it describes as "subpar and inconsistent," providing what it calls "a consistently safe, reliable, and high-quality playing surface for student athletes and the broader community."
Hinsdale Soccer frames the project as "a long-term investment in the health, development, and success of our students," saying the switch from natural grass to turf would "significantly increase field accessibility, reduce weather-related cancellations, and create consistent playing conditions throughout the year." The group is soliciting tax-deductible donations toward the effort and can be reached at info@hinsdalesoccer.org.
